Triton by Arje Griegst for Royal Copenhagen

Sold
Item number: 334314

Description: Triton was designed by Arje Griegst in 1978. It is taken out of during the 1990s.
The dinning ware is one of the most imaginative Royal Copenhagen has made and is a true extension of the jewelry that Arje Griegst created as a jewelry artist.

The dinning ware was intended to be made in celadon glaze, but this never became a reality.
The only thing that was produced in this color is a big tureen.
Triton is found in this white blanc de chine glaze and a delicate pink glaze. This came in 1984.

The set is, in english, named after the greek good, Triton, one of the gods of the sea. His face appears on the coffee pot.
