Antique blue fluted tea caddy from Royal Copenhagen

Sold
Item number: 343076

Description: Height 13 cm.

It is marked inside the neck with three dark blue waves.
This hold together with the extra painted "flowers" at the main flower, indicates it is from before 1790.
Royal Copenhagen begins to produce Blue Fluted as dinnerware No. 1 in 1775 and is still in production.
The motif is a stylized version of the classic Chinese flower painting that is thousands of years old.

The tea caddy has an original firering crack on one side. It has a few places where the glaze has slipped and it appears orange-red.
Previously, Royal Copenhagen sorted into five grades, as the porcelain was so expensive to manufacture.
