The Children's aid day was introduced in 1904 to support the conditions of vulnerable children. A festival day would be held annually for the purpose of collecting money.
From the beginning, the Children's aid day was fortunate to obtain support from well-known people such as Herman Bang and Betty Nansen and later Dirch Passer and Lone Hertz.

Christian The 9th, King of Denmark. participated in the Children's aid day in 1904 and later Queen Ingrid became a protector for the Children's aid day.

The plates were published in the period 1910 to 1940, along with the Aluminias version and a short time together with Aluminias famous Children's aid day figures drawn by Herluf Jensenius.
