Grethe Meyer designed Fire Pot for Royal Copenhagen in 1976. The series was taken out of production around 1986.

She was asked to develop a series of fireproof dishes and bowls that could go from freezer to oven. Fire pot goes straight from the freezer to the hot oven, on the grill, gas stove and electrical plates. All parts are dishwasher proof, besides the teak trivets.

Grethe Meyer did not design this form, it was designed by Jeanne Grut in the 1970s.

Jeanne Grut designed a large number of modern figures in the 1970s and 1980s, among other things. the big blue fish, a black swan, a couple of dogs and the well-known musk oxen in chamotte.

In Fire Pot she has designed elephants, this hare and a large pig that is just made in 3 examples.
