Rare export piece from Royal Copenhagen

Description: Height 20 cm.

Stamped with the rare red export stamp used only in the 1890s.
This was done at the request of the US customs authorities so they could see on the item where it was from.
Beautiful overglaze coffee pot from Royal Copenhagen.

The pot is painted with white violets with extra details so they can be felt when the fingers slide over them. The gold edges of the jug are generally in good condition, however, they are worn on the lid.
It has two small chips on the edge of the "foot".
