The dish is the old version with an air hole in the lid, so steam can be let out.
Royal Copenhagen begins to produce Blue Fluted as dinnerware No. 1 in 1775 and is still in production. The Half Lace version was introduced in 1886.
The motif is a stylized version of the classic Chinese flower painting that is thousands of years old.
