Description: Danish saber from The Royal Life Guard M/1854. With scabbard and saber both stamped "LG. 530". Slightly curved blade. Black leather scabbard with scabbard fittings and brass.
Length without sheath: 74 cm.
In good condition.
The saber was originally a Prussian infantry saber that was used in the Schleswig-Holstein army. Taken as spoils of war in the 3 years' war. During the re-armament of the Danish army in 1854, this saber was assigned to The Royal Life Guard, where it is still in use during guard duty.
A firearms permit must be presented upon purchase. Only sent within the country's borders.
