Description: Charlottenborg pendant, model PH 5-4½, designed by Poul Henningsen and produced by Louis Poulsen in the 1980s. The lamp is based on the 4-shade system introduced in 1931 with the purpose of increasing light output and creating more efficient illumination in the room. The construction directs a greater amount of light horizontally, providing better lighting of walls and surroundings compared to traditional 3-shade lamps.
